Who we are

JT Restorations is a mobile car detailing business operating across Melbourne, Victoria. ABN 48 189 531 223. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean JT Restorations.

You can contact us about privacy at any time on restorationsbyjt@gmail.com or 0491 074 351.

What we collect

We only collect what we need in order to quote and carry out a detail. Specifically:

  • Through the quote form on this site — the service you are interested in, your vehicle size, your suburb, and your name.
  • When you contact us directly — by phone, SMS, WhatsApp, email or social media, we receive whatever you choose to send, which usually includes your name, contact number and address.
  • To carry out a booking — the address where the vehicle will be detailed, and details about the vehicle itself.
  • Automatically, as you browse — standard analytics data such as which pages you viewed, roughly which region you are in, and what type of device and browser you used.

We do not collect payment card details through this website. There is no account or login on this site, so there is no password to store.

Why we collect it

We use your information to prepare a quote, confirm and attend a booking, contact you about that booking, and answer questions you send us. We also use aggregated analytics data to understand which parts of the site are useful and to improve them.

We may occasionally contact you about your own past or upcoming booking. We do not run marketing email campaigns, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.

Who else sees your information

A small number of third-party services handle your information as part of running this site and this business. Each has its own privacy policy:

  • Web3Forms — delivers submissions from the quote form on this site to our email inbox.
  • Google Analytics — measures how the site is used. We have deliberately turned off Google Signals and ad personalisation, so your visit is not fed into advertising or cross-device profiling. IP addresses are anonymised, and the data is only ever used in aggregate. Google also hosts our email.
  • WhatsApp / Meta — if you choose to message us through the WhatsApp button, that conversation takes place on their platform, under their terms.
  • Vercel — hosts this website and processes standard server request logs.
  • Google Fonts — serves the typefaces this site uses. Your browser requests them directly from Google, which means Google receives your IP address on each page load. No cookie is set by this request.

We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for website analytics only. They tell us things like how many people visited a page and which links they followed. They do not identify you personally to us, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load analytics at all — no script is requested and no cookie is set. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. The site works normally either way.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and booking records for as long as they remain useful for servicing your vehicle and for meeting our tax and business record-keeping obligations. When information is no longer needed for either purpose, we delete it.

Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including using reputable service providers and keeping access limited to the owner of the business. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask us at any time to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct anything that is wrong, or to delete it entirely. Email restorationsbyjt@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You can also raise a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new “last updated” date.
