What actually separates the two levels
The Essential is a thorough, proper clean with short-term protection — a two-bucket hand wash, full interior vacuum and wipe-down, and a paint sealant rated for 1-2 months. The Signature starts from that same base and adds the things a well-kept car doesn't need yet: iron and fallout decontamination, faded trim restoration, steam sanitisation, stain removal, and a ceramic sealant rated for 2-4 months instead of 1-2. Full inclusions for each are listed under Services.
Book The Essential if
Your car is already in decent shape — it's been on a regular routine, the paint still feels smooth, and nothing's stained or heavily embedded. You want it clean, sharp and protected without paying for correction work it doesn't need. This is also the right call if you're planning to be on a regular maintenance plan, since the Essential is what that plan is built around — the Signature does the heavy lifting once, and the Essential keeps it there.
Book The Signature if
It's been six months or more since the last proper detail, the paint feels rough or gritty rather than smooth to the touch, or the interior needs more than a vacuum — genuine stains, odours, or carpets that need extracting rather than just cleaning. If water is sheeting flat across the paint instead of beading, whatever protection was there is gone, and a wash alone won't bring it back.
What about Full Detail
Both levels also come as a Full Detail — Exterior and Interior in one visit, at a saving over booking them separately. For most cars, this is the sensible default rather than the upsell: it's rare for a car to need deep exterior correction but not the interior, or vice versa. The two-card breakdown above is really about which Full Detail level fits, not whether to combine them.
Still not sure
This is genuinely common, and it's not something you need to guess at. Send a photo of the paint and interior and we'll tell you exactly which level makes sense — and just as importantly, which one doesn't, since there's no reason to pay for correction work a well-kept car doesn't need.
